How to choose a healthy kitten?

Choosing a kitten or female or male, of the few balls with fluffy tails bristly fur of a nest can be very difficult. All are playful, they are all funny, all left-moving and ... toil.

Yet, you chose one of them. For one you choose will be cat or motanelul of our lives for many years.

Health
Thus, the most important step in choosing health is to establish kitten - cat you adopt should be perfectly healthy and come from a nest with up to 7 kittens. Chicks from larger nests do not receive proper nutrition and sufficient in the first months of life, therefore, their growth will be influenced by this fact.

Next, we examine in detail the cat:

General appearance: kitten should be plump, well fed, fur should be shiny and clean, but the kittens attention too round belly - may have internal parasites (most offspring are parasitized) or could be a sign of rickets, especially if the wrist is prominent.
appetite and play: kitten should be playful and curious - a sick kitten is safe apathetic, also, if possible, we will see mass kitten (whether or not it is weaned, the kittens must have your appetite! )
fur and leather coat should be glossy, fluffy to the touch and clean. Skin should be smooth with no deposits, scaling, redness or swelling areas. If the cat has external parasites (fleas), they are easily visible on the belly.
Ears: must be clean inside, pink skin, healthy, no deposit odor, or appearance of dark coffee grounds. Kitten should not protest when i touch the ears and should not scratch in the ears. A kitten that has a pain in the ear will be slightly bent head on the painful side.

Eye should be clear, no "white" and without abundant secretions and / or purulent.
members: no thickening of the joints, chicken should be observed walking - walking, even clumsy, should be no lameness.
For kittens to race (Burmese, Balinese, Siamese) have sought to exclude genetic defects specimens from breeding. In this case, choice is good for kittens to be assisted by a specialist. One of the most common defects, presented by "benevolent" as "a sign of race" (???) is bending a number of vertebrae in the tail tip. This is a genetic defect and not related to kitten belonging to a race or another, but it is indeed more common in the three races mentioned above.

Temperament
It is difficult to determine the kitten's adult temperament - but, except chickens exhibit aggression visible (leave their ears back, spitting and "attack" which lies to her hand) any kitten can be a great cat or cat ideal. What matters is how much will grow kitten.

Is said to be the cat's way reflect adult experiences (like it or not) during "childhood" - a cat will become fearful and wary beaten, a spoiled cat "excess" will become a brazen thief ... and examples could continue. So, the choice should be dictated by the first pulse, given that all should be cat playful, curious and attentive.
